Our Labor Day Weekend Annual Camping Trip----Destination for 2010??--Nice and close by at: Ellacoya State Park!

We all enjoyed a lovely spaghetti dinner! Nothing like cookin' in the "great out doors"!
We love to take an annual camping trip over Labor Day weekend. We were slated to head to Salisbury Beach State Park in Massachusetts, however, hurricane Earl gave us other ideas! So....we stayed local and truly enjoyed our time right on Lake Winnipesaukee!! Thank you Glenn for taking us camping!

You know something...just a quick note....there have been surveys done of kids about what their favorite memories are as kids...and FAR above even Disney World the number one memory kids have is of camping! Thanks for letting us make memories Glenn!
Below are scenes from the "community campfire"...that was fun, and a VERY interesting time of observing others.
Junior takes a turn at doing the dishes! Doesn't he looked just "thrilled"??
We always enjoy our tradition of hot chocolate in the mornings!
This is the view from our campsite! We truly were very close to the water! The bath house is in the background of this photo.
Our humble campsite!
To say that the hurricane made the waters a bit rough is a total understatement! Let's just say....we found ourselves humming the "Gilligan's Island" theme song throughout the day Saturday!
"Well....sit right back and you'll hear a tale....a tale of a fateful trip..."
They may be smiling now....but when they got on the other side of the island...the "waters started getting rough...the tiny ship was tossed....if not for the courage of the fearless crew...the "Glenno" would be lost!"....seriously....the boat started taking on water, the gas tank was floating...and the boat was going down! The only thing they had to bail with was Glenn's trustee hat! Oh...they came back with plenty of stories....ask them about it sometime! Glenn had taken the boys out earlier in the day...and well...let's just say....there was much crying and screaming! Even though the waters were rougher, the girls remained somewhat calm! Go girlies! We learned the next day that a bulletin had gone out to have all small boats vacate the lake Saturday afternoon! Yikes....who knew?? Not us!
My boys!
A lively game of aggravation...which was VERY aggravating...it seems!

Fabulous Fall!

We love the Fall! We love to go apple picking at Butternut farm in Farmington. It's very close by to our house. We met our friends the Lowman's and headed there last week. We also met our dear friends the Rainey's there, too!  We were blessed to be able to also pick some of the last of their peaches, too! We packed a picnic lunch and headed there for the morning and had a wonderful time!
Grace is the spitting image of her Haitian Mama in this photo! She said..."Mom...let me carry the peaches on my head! It's way easier!"
Here's my  whole gang!
This photo isn't part of our Butternut trip, but I had to include it in our Fall photos. So...my awesome "McGyver" hubby took an axle from an old garden tractor and built himself a great new wagon for his garden tractor. He's lovingly named it "the Heavy Hauler"...and it is just that! The kiddos get the first ride on it! He has since added sides to it, too!
Which way to our picnic lunch??
