Blessings Continue to Abound Here!--2012

Thank you for your prayers for our adoption journey. Today was a VERY exciting day here! We got our first call from the attorney's office with the details of 2 birth moms that our family profile will be given to. The birth moms must pick our profile in order for there to be a match.

You can be praying for the two Moms.

Mom #1 is Elizabeth. We've told you about her before. She is expecting a boy, (we now know) on February 27th. He'll be brown skinned. She lives in Arizona.

Mom #2 is Deorethea. She is also expecting a boy.  He will be brown skinned, too. She is due on May 12th. She herself has sickle cell anemia. This is a bit of a concern to us, but she has 3 other children that are 100% healthy. We'll just look to the Lord and trust Him for the outcome on this one!

We should be presented to these birth moms sometime this week or so. We are trusting God that the birth Mom that selects us, will be the one that He has for us. This is a VERY exciting time for sure! It's a bit scary, and we wonder if we'll get picked at all. It's hard not to know. We put lots of scripture in our profile.

We've also been blessed with more donations! Since my last post, we are now down to needing 134.5 people to give $100.00! Yup...it's dropped a lot! People have  been hugely generous! One family gave us $200.00, and another family gave us $700.00 and the contents of their children's tootsie roll bank!  That's right! The children all voted they wanted to give that to us! The total was $40.00! Wow...every little bit helps! Thank you God!

I thought you also might like to take a peek at the first page of our profile.  The profile itself is 6 pages long. We worked hard to put this together. This is the initial contact that we have with the birth moms. We prayed that God would be glorified as we seek to do His will and we pray for our testimony of our family through the tool of this profile!

Keep praying and we'll keep you posted!

Love,
Mary

Christmas Blessings!--2011

We were so blessed to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior on Christmas Eve with our church fellowship,  here at our home on Christmas Day, and then with Glenn's parents later in the day. It was a wonderful day of fellowship and love in Christ!
