We are so blessed to continue to spend Tuesdays and Wednesdays with Great Grammie Winslow. She's 91, and these are precious, precious times spent with her. She comes for dinner on Tuesdays and stays through Wednesday afternoons.
She loves to be part of our homeschooling here, and often has many comments and things of interest to share.
Today, Junior decided to make some really fancy paper airplanes that we had a kit for. He made two beautiful ones, and Nicole loved them.
Grammie was reading in the living room and our persnickity black cat Sheba loves to perch on her lap. Grammie is a great companion for her! I listened from the kitchen when Nicole went into the living room and announced..."Come here Grammie, I'm going to teach you how to fly these airplanes! Grammie was such a good sport. She examined the airplanes and then did everything Nicole asked her to do, including standing up to throwing them the right way, and then Nicole said..."Now Grammie, I'm going to show you how to throw them backwards!"..."Oh my."...Grammie said..."Backwards???" Then Nicole proceeded to show her how to throw the airplanes over her head standing backwards! Grammie was a good sport for sure!
We sure do treasure our "Tuesdays (and Wednesdays) with Grammie...for such a time as this! These are truly what memories are made of!
