Camping at Bullfrog Pond Campground, Hiram, Maine

This is our second time at a campground that only has one site. This campgrounds' only site happens to be a beautiful waterfront one, where you fall asleep with the soothing sounds of bullfrogs.
Owned and operated by Daryl and Michelle Collomy, this wonderful Christian campground not only boasts this beautiful site, but amazing hospitality as well! One of our favorite aspects of this campground is that they are big family friendly! It doesn't matter how many children you have, there is no extra charge! The come by this love of large families naturally as they have 11 children of their own!

What is the cost to stay there, you ask? Well....it's a beautiful thing. There is no actual fee to stay at the campground, but there is one requirement....Bartering. That's right...old fashioned bartering! Glenn's master carpentry skills in trade for Daryl's amazing automotive repair skills. Put them together and what do you get? 5 days of fun, great food, and amazing fellowship, and some really great projects done, too! Take a peek and see!

We arrive on Friday and eagerly set up our camper.

There's the proud owner of this one-site wonder now!

The menfolk visit while us ladies prepare Friday Night Pizza!

4 Extra large pizzas later, along with several gluten free ones and a dairy free one, we are ready to eat! Yum!
We ate all of our meals together, and outside! It was wonderful!

This was Glenn's 1st project. Removal of this double oven.....

And it was transformed to this lovely set of inset shelving! Such a welcome blessing!Still to come is a bathroom window installation.
Daryl worked at length on Glenn's van. He did an amazing job: He did: intake manifold gaskets, (a BIG job), wires, plugs, distributor cap, rotor, and adjusting back brakes.
True friendship is a beautiful gift from the Lord!

Nathan, our littlest friend just loves Junior!

We had fun swimming!

We even got to be in a 4th of July parade in Hiram!

The kids rode on a float for Mr. Tinkham's tree farm!

Everyone dressed in their patriotic finest!

Cute little guy, Elias!

Even Isaac got in the spirit with a red white and blue cast!

Glenn got to be in the parade, too, sporting a "Zero turn Cub Cadet tractor!"

Even Grampa Dave was a good sport and rode on the float!

How can you tell everyone had a great time? Look at their feet!
Thank you so much Collomy family! We had a wonderful time! We can't wait to do it again! We love you bunches!
