She's Finally Here---Part 2---With Photos! Yeah!

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change." James 1:17

We all headed to Concord hospital to visit Miss Annalie Beatrice! She's soooo beautiful! Great Grampa Dave even came along with us! It was very special! The only thing missing was Great Grammy Linda, but we know she was smiling down from heaven! Brittany had a very quick and intense labor at only 4 hours from start to finish. The OB doc got their just in the nick of time!

We all got to hold Annie B, as they call her, and it was really great! The little kids under 13 couldn't come in, it's a new hospital rule, and so I stayed in the family room with Nicole and Jon and Rosie, and Glenn and my Dad went in with everyone else, and then my Dad came out and I went in. It was a wonderful visit! Rosie enjoyed this bead thingy in the waiting room! She's pulling herself up now and actually letting go! She'll be walking soon...and she's 8 months old!

Here's proud Grampa Glenn!
 And...Grammie Mary above!
 Here's little Annie B!
 So precious!

 Beautiful Auntie Maddie!
Aunty Grace is the baby whisperer! And what little baby doesn't love their Uncle Eddie?

 Auntie Elisha loved holding her!

Then we headed to our house and had an old fashioned bean supper with Grampa! Such a treat!

The girls were a HUGE help to me as I went for lunch today and met with a friend from high school that I hadn't seen in 30 years! So they decorated for our dinner and got a lot of the food ready! Thank you girlies! I couldn't have done it without you! It was wonderful! Homemade baked beans with brown bread, coleslaw with purple cabbage from our garden, fruit salad, turkey ham, and apple crisp for dessert! Wow! It's Grampa's favorite ever supper! You outdid yourselves! Love you!! Mom
Rosie says...Good night Grampa! We love you!

What a wonderful, wonderful, day! Thank you Lord!

SHE'S FINALLY HERE!!!!

Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him.
Psalms 127:3

Brittany and Annie B are doing really well! We are headed to the hospital today for a visit with Grampa Dave, too! I'll be sure to post some photos! Auntie Rosie is excited to meet her new niece! Kinda crazy, huh?? Of course everyone else is super excited, too! We'll keep you posted!

Back To School Prairie Day! What A Blessing!

"Let us not give up meeting together, ...and let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:25

Yesterday afternoon we had the most wonderful blessing. Jen and Russ Stratton opened up their barn and pastures to the Hearts for Home home school group and we met their to celebrate back to school and lots of the kids and moms wore prairie clothing. The sun was shining, and was a beautiful day!
The barn was awesome! Everyone brought something for the giant trail mix that we shared as a snack!

There were tons of bonnets, straw hats, and even a mandolin!
The little girls just LOVED the country grocery store to play with!
The fellowship with the Moms was just what we all needed at the end of the week!
There were apples on a string!
A view of their beautiful home!
There were many blanket games....buttons on a string, drop the clothespin in the jar, and many more!
We welcome our friends from the west! The Lowman family!

Some of the girls enjoyed some square dancing in the barn!
There was even a couple of Dads there! Hey Dave...where is your prairie outfit?

Mr. Stratton even gave his version of "hay" rides....Hmmm...not very old fashioned, but the kids LOVED it!
Mrs. Surtees teaches how to make yarn dolls and some button crafts!

The boys gather together in the barn for a meeting about how to deal with the Indians they saw!

Grace practices her penmanship!

 Lots of fun field games!
 Look at these little sweeties!
 The boys!
 Jon and Brandon...best prairie buds!
Maddie and Ellie enter the 3 legged race!
Elizabeth and Grace enter the race together!
Here are some of the other teams for the 3-legged race!

 Here is the whole crew!
And the winners are???? Madelyn and Ellie! Yeah! Great job! They were in great sync with each other! It's NOT easy!
 Apples on a string fun!
So a wonderful afternoon was had by all! Great fellowship and loads of old fashioned fun!!! Thank you all for such a super time!

Glenn Has Caught the Air Soft Fever! BIG TIME!

So....Glenn's birthday package came yesterday. Only one week later than his birthday. It's kinda fun to spread the celebration out a bit. We like to do that! He was soooooo excited! He got an AK47 automatic electric air soft gun, some bb's, a quick loader, a smart charger and a mesh mask. (The mask doesn't fit over his glasses, though, so that has to be returned.) Anyway....he opened  it after supper, and we all got to try it out! I must say...It's pretty awesome!

Happy Belated Birthday my dear hubby! Do you need some Tylenol for that "fever"?? Maybe!!

Here are a couple more pics on the evening that they actually did an mini air soft war in the back yard! They had so much fun!

Good clean fun for sure! A bit painful for some...but still very fun!
