Madelyn's Sweet 16!

It's so hard to believe that our beloved Maddie is actually 16 now! My how the time has flown by! She enjoyed a lovely, and very full day on her birthday, which was this past Sunday. On the menu for breakfast was:  waffles with strawberries and whipped cream
                          eggs over easy
                          orange juice.

Then it was quickly opening gifts and then getting ready for church. On the menu to bring to church:
Tortellini Soup and
Homemade icecream cake. Yum!

Then after a lovely church service and luncheon and fellowship time with friends, we were off to Drake's Island, at Wells Beach, Maine, with several other families from church. Everyone had an amazing time of boogey boarding, tide pooling for crabs and star fish, and a rousing game of speed volleyball. The weather was absolutely perfect, and we all had an amazing day! We ended the day in a perfect way with some Shaine's of Maine Icecream on the way home! Happy Sweet 16 our dear, dear Madelyn. We love you so much, and are so amazed at the work God is doing in your life!

Welcome to Strawberry Banke!

We had the joy of going to Strawberry Banke on Saturday, July 9th, with my folks. Our dear friends the Lowman family joined us, too! It was a lot of fun, and all of the kids and adults had a wonderful time! We enjoyed having our lunch there, too!  Thank you Dad, we all had a great time!  See for yourself!

Nicole loved touring the ambulance!

This interactive house was the girls favorite by far!

Here the girls get a tour of the gardens from "Mrs. Goodwin, of Goodwin mansion"

The children loved the fairy garden at the Goodwin Mansion!

Here's the gang!

Next time we'd love to take a carriage ride around the port!
Glenn loved seeing the gundalow being built right on the property!

Jon was impressed with the tree nails they used!
