A couple of weeks ago, we traveled to a small working farm in Milton Mills and enjoyed some field trips there. The first one was on clothing construction in the 17 and 1800's. How they did it, what materials they used, how did the industrial revolution change things for their clothing, etc. It was a wonderful afternoon, and the kids all got to try their hand at carding wool, spinning wool, and weaving on a giant loom. Take a peek!

Our next trip there was a week later, and we learned how to prepare and cook a complete meal outside like they would have done. We arrived at 9:00 in time to milk the goat, and then prepared the fire, and prepped the veggies and chicken for a country stew, made flat bread cook on the coals, and then enjoyed bread pudding, too! It was a beautiful day, and we all enjoyed ourselves, including Rosie!
