The Winslows have the airsoft fever---or the start of it anyway

So...air soft fun is a part of our church family, and our boys really love to give it a try. Edward purchased an air soft gun with his birthday money and all of his stuff came in this week! Take a look!! So now, Jonathan is wanting to get in on it, and so is Papa Glenn!! Wow! It's a lot of fun for sure! Of course Edward was very kind and let his sisters try on his gear!

Happy Birthday #1 Dad!!!
And tonight (Sunday) we ended our week of birthday celebrations by meeting at the Bubble and then heading to Dunkin Donuts for a hot beverage as it's a bit chilly outside! Grampa Dave met us at the Bubble and we had our icecream and then we headed over Dunkins and met Jen and Pete there. That was really cool! Thank you Grampa!! We love you!!!

All Creatures Great and Small Pet Sitting!

Madelyn started a pet sitting business last year. It took awhile to catch on, but it truly has now through word of mouth! Just in the last few weeks she's had 4 big jobs. There truly is a demand for responsible people to take care of people's beloved livestock and pets.

Previously, Madelyn had made the above sign and it had a very wimpy frame. Well...the frame broke, and so in came Glenn to the rescue!! Just today, he welded this frame for her sign and installed it for her! As cars went by he would say..."Hey...there goes another customer!"...it was sweet!

So...let the business come rolling in!! Thanks Glenn! We love you so much ! We truly believe there is NOTHING you can't do!!!

M and gang

We LOVE facetime with Grampa Dave!

You have to love technology! One of the things we enjoy doing is "hanging out" with Grampa on facetime on the computer! This allows him to chat with each of us and see everyone, too. We really enjoyed doing this with Grampa and Grammie! It was soooo wonderful to do it once a week while they were in Florida last winter, or to introduce them to Rosie from Manchester to Florida in March. That was soooo wonderful!

Anyway...it's a great way to stay in touch and catch up with what is going on!

Keep calling us Grampa! We LOVE you!

Praising the Lord for a Bountiful Harvest!

"with the bountiful harvest from the sun
and the abundant yield of the seasons;" Deuteronomy 33:14

"You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance."

Psalm 65:11

Check out the super cool..."love bird" carrots!

We are praising the Lord for the bountiful harvest from our garden! We've enjoyed many wonderful things this year from our vegetable garden. Here is just an end of the season sampling that was picked fresh today! Butternut squash, acorn squash, sweet corn, okra, a bushel of carrots and many, many tomatoes of different types! It's been such a blessing! Thank you Lord!

A Work Day at Winslow Farm--Deerfield

"Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” Ephesians 6:2-3

Each year we LOVE to honor Glenn's parents by bringing our whole crew over for the day and getting their firewood ready for the coming winter, and each year they continue to be totally amazed that we would take a day out of our busy schedule and love on them in this way! We feel like it's a true way to show Christ's love to them. On this day each year, Winslow Mountain is our mission field! It's truly a way to "bloom where God has planted us"---as my sign in my Fall display says.

And so this year we arrived there...just the kids and I. Glenn's work has been so busy that he couldn't come. He had already cut and split 6 cords of wood and so we just needed to stack it.

We started with filling their wood shed. It holds about 3 cords or wood. Glenn's sister Wendy helped us for the day. We made a chain and passed the wood in!

When we got that filled, we also filled the indoor wood box in the kitchen.

Then we took a lunch break. Wendy made a wonderful soup and some bread. Yum! After that, we started to stack the remaining wood on pallets outside for it to dry and be ready to go!

Rosie rode in the back pack on me for the morning, and then spent the afternoon outside with us in her stroller. She even fell asleep during the rain. It was really cute!

Here are the girls with the finished 3 cords of stacked wood!

No visit to Grampa's farm would be complete without a visit to the animals in the barn. Here is one of the new calves.

There are 3 pigs, too! And no...they aren't the 3 "little" pigs. They are getting big!

So...be willing to serve and it's amazing to allow God to show us where He wants us and where our mission field is each day!
