And we wait...

Waiting is so hard. We are waiting for word that we can take our first trip to Bulgaria to meet our precious new children who God has already grown an amazing love for in our hearts! We wait, we pray, every single day!

What does God's word say about waiting?
Genesis 29:20 says:

20 " So Jacob worked seven years for Rachel. But it only seemed like a few days, he loved her so much. "

Oh...to have the faith of Jacob! We've only been waiting for 7 months, not 7 years, and still it can seem so long! Thank you Lord for the reminder that 5 years from now, it will all seem so much better, and like it wasn't too long of a wait!

Romans 8:24-30 says:

"That is why waiting does not diminish us, any more than waiting diminishes a pregnant mother. We are enlarged in the waiting. We, of course, don't see what is enlarging us.  But the longer we wait, the larger we become, and the more joyful our expectancy.  Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans.  He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God.  That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.  God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him.  After God made that decision of what his children should be like, he followed it up by calling people by name. After he called them by name, he set them on a solid basis with himself. And then, after getting them established, he stayed with them to the end, gloriously completing what he had begun. "

Oh Lord...thank you so much for the reminder that waiting does NOT diminish us! And thank you for telling me that I am enlarged in the waiting. It truly has enlarged our faith! That's for sure! Our expectancy is soooo joyful! Thank you for your help while we wait, Lord!

Habakkuk 2:3 says:
"This vision-message is a witness pointing to what's coming. It aches for the coming - it can hardly wait! And it doesn't lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It's on its way. It will come right on time. "

I am waiting Lord! Oh yes! We are waiting! I will admit sometimes it seems like it will never come, but I know from your word that it will! Thank you Lord!

So will you please join us in praying while we wait! Pray for God's perfect timing! Please pray for our finances, too! We are still about $14,000.00 in need! We know that God owns the cattle on 1,000 hills! This is NOT impossible with God! NOTHING is!

Thank you for your prayers!
