Happy Father's Day Glenn!!! We love you!

Psalm 127:1-5 says:

Unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain that build it: unless the LORD keeps the city, the watchman wakes, but in vain.

2It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he gives his beloved sleep.

3Lo, children are a heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

4As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.

5Happy is the man that has his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

We love to celebrate Father's Day with our favorite guy....Glenn! He's such an amazing Dad!  Father to 8 strong arrows in his quiver! Is his quiver full? Only God knows the answer to that question. As Glenn continues to look to the Lord, we are having so much fun, and we totally enjoyed celebrating Father's Day with Glenn!

We started the day here with a wonderful breakfast and some Father's day gifts!

Then we had a wonderful time at church.  The message was amazing about the impact a father has on his children's lives, and the scripture that promises such! It was given by our newest elder that is father to 11 children!

Then we came home and got ready for a surprise for Glenn.  It's was such a beautiful day from the Lord weather wise! We took him hiking on one of our favorite hiking trails and he had never been on it. It's a hike on "little Blue Job" mountain and it's called Blueberry Hill. It truly is the most amazing view for truly the least amount of work! We packed a supper of Glenn's favorite things....roast beef sandwiches, cheese curls, grapes, and Reese's peanut butter cups for dessert!

The fam at the foot of the hiking trail!

headed up.....

and up!

A lovely couple captured our photo at the top! Truly ....the view is a 360 degree panoramic wonder!

time to eat!

Glenn and all his "arrows!"...(in case you couldn't tell...it was really windy at the peak and very chilly! It was so warm at the base that we didn't think we'd need jackets---but we did!

another amazing view!

and another!

There were many of these monuments along the trail. It reminded us that we must make monuments to the Lord in our lives showing His greatness and faithfulness and mercy!
Rosie's a bit chilly, and couldn't wait to get down a bit on the trail to warm up!

heading down!

True to it's name, there were tons of low bush blueberries to be picked! The kids LOVED it! In a week or so, there will be tons more! We are going to head back and bring the doggies!

We went home a bit tired, but totally refreshed having enjoyed God's wonderful creation!

Happy Father's Day Glenn!

What a wonderful celebration! I love the new family photo taken on this hike, as well.
