Celebrating Rosie's "Gotcha" Day!!

One year ago yesterday, March 3rd, 2012, we brought our precious miracle baby Rosie home from the NICU at the Elliot hospital! It's so hard to believe it's been a year already! Wow!
We rejoice and praise the Lord for His incredible goodness to us!

It was Valentine's Day, 2012, that we got a call from our attorney and she said..."Mary..I've been trying to reach you all day! There is a baby in the NICU of the Elliot hospital, born January 21st, drug addicted. She's 1/2 hispanic, and the Mom had no pre-natal care. We can't find anyone willing to take her. Are you interested???" "Oh Yes!" we said!! "It is for this child we have prayed!"  1st Samuel 1:27! And so when we met her on March 1st, 2012...we had JOY! Unspeakable Joy!

She was born:  Jazmyne (they spelled it wrong on her little sign) Marie Rosa! Now..a miracle of sorts about her name we chose for her. We researched Hispanic names after we received the call about her. We fell in love with the name Rosalinda Marguerite. Why?? Well...Rosa for her Hispanic heritage, Linda for my Mom's first name), and Marguerite for my nana's name. We had NO idea what her birth name was when we chose her name. The fact that her last name was Rosa was such a blessing to her Hispanic Dad, William Rosa. That we would have part of her birth name in her actual name! Who but God could have orchestrated that one! We wrote and told her birth Mom and birth Dad about that through the attorney. They were soooo excited!

And so.....our precious Rosie...we can't imagine our lives without you! You are now one, and yesterday we celebrated spending one year with you! It doesn't seem possible, and yet we know that you are exactly who God had for our family!

We love you so much Miss Rosalinda Marguerite Winslow! You are a light...shining in the darkness! A bright light for all the world to see!
