Oh HAPPY Day!!! Oh HAPPY Day!

Psalm 147:3 says: "He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds."

Today God healed our broken hearts in a BIG way and his name is Little Eddie (soon to be called Jeremiah!)

We traveled to meet him this morning, expecting to have a visit this morning, and then again this afternoon. The usual routine!
And so can you tell where this photo below is taken??? Yup...our hotel room! At his orphanage when we had just arrived and sat down and started to play with Jerry, Yavor came to us and said..."So..they'd like to know if you'd like to bring him with you to your hotel and have him stay there until Monday! Would we????? OH YES!!!! WHAT A BLESSING! THANK YOU LORD! YOU KNEW JUST WHAT OUR HEARTS NEEDED THIS DAY!

They had told him we were coming and he was super excited! He heard them ask about coming to the hotel with us, and so he went and got his coat, and a bag of clothes and came right over and waited for us to leave. He was sooooo excited! It was precious!

I realized that God has given us 2 VERY joyful children. One who shows her joy with her smiles, and another who goes 90 miles an hour, shouts Yay every where we go and at everything he sees and smiles big smiles, too!

Here he is waiting for us to get ready to go!

And so he asks a million questions of Yavor..."Who is going to drive, is this your car, where are we going, when we get to the hotel will we have to go right to sleep, how long are we staying at the hotel??" when he heard he would stay for 3 days with us he put his arms high in the air and yelled..."YEAH!!" It was so sweet!

So wow...we had some time on our hands before lunch and so we went to the Danube river, and took a walk. It was wonderful! You can see Romania on the other side of the river bank! That was really cool, and even cooler to see it through the eyes of our 9 year old son, who had probably never even been that far away before!

So Jerry LOVES my camera and he wanted me to get photos of the pigeons. So I took this picture and he said:  "No mama, not those pigeons, those are the wrong ones!"
Then when I took this picture he said again..."No mama, not those either!"
He said.."That one, that one!", and then I knew he meant the brown ones. I took it and he said..."Yes, mama, that one, that very one!" Who knew pigeons were soooo exciting to this boy!

Jerry loved this big barge on the river!

Jerry also LOVED Yavor! Who doesn't LOVE Yavor? Let's face it!

So Jerry kept asking..."when are we going to eat, when?"...he LOVES to eat! LOVES food!
Maybe this was his first restaurant experience. He was VERY excited!

He asked me to take a photo of his empty plate and he said.."Bravo?" Yes, little Jerry..Bravo indeed!
So he informed us as we were walking around that his head was cold. So we bought him a hat and gloves.
Was he excited about this spider man hat that lights up?? You tell me!!
He was VERY excited also about all of the toys that we brought for him to play with!

However..the most exciting to of all? Our little flashlights we bring when we are camping or traveling! Oh my...we are thanking God for the flashlights!

We got to face time with our children today and they all got to meet Jerry! That was super cool, too!

We'll keep you posted! This is such an amazing blessing from the Lord! Thank you Lord!

You are in my Christy's city! I recognize so many places! Oh how I wish you can have Yavor go check on Christy and see if they are giving her the thickener that we sent with Amy Joss!!!

Hi Ruth,
Want me to give Yavor some sort of a message? Because we have our son until Monday, we don't really have a big schedule we have to keep. We are headed to the mall tomorrow and to have visa pictures taken. Maybe he could check then?? Let me know, and give me the specifics so that I can remind him, he deals with so many folks these days. winslow6_wp@tds.net

Well, if he could go to the group home, and ask how they are doing with using the thickener for her water, and also to see if they have any idea how long the supply will last if it's working well for her, that would be awesome! Then if more is needed and I find out that Yavor is going again there sometime I could send more with another family...it is possible. That's how we got it to her this time! Seems like too much to ask, but we actually walked to a photographer from her group home to have Christy's VISA photos taken....Anything is possible with our amazing God, right? I totally understand though if it is something that Yavor couldn't do...

Weird...I posted an entire comment, but it disappeared...can you send me an email at busymomma12 AT gmail.com and I'll send you the info? Thanks so much! What a blessing to keep him all to yourself for 3 whole days...I've never heard of such a thing! We even had to have an escort to get her VISA photo taken! Miraculous!

That is fabulous news that you get to spend so much time with Little Eddie/Jerry :-)
I came over here from the No Greater Joy Mom blog. I had visited your site before, but I didn't know you were traveling until a day or two ago - the pictures of Zoey are so heartbreaking (like others I've seen from similar places, like Adeye's Hasya).
I would like to donate to help you close the funding gap to bring them both home, but I wanted to ask if you have a preference for me using the Reece's Rainbow page or the GoFundMe page from your sidebar?
Hope the rest of your time with Jerry goes spectacularly!

Hi Ruth Gossner! Thank you so much for your comment!Your kind words are such an encouragement to us! As the scripture says..."like water for a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far land!" Wow..that's awesome! I think Reece's Rainbow is the best way to go. They are wonderful to work with. You can either do it online, or there is a way to pay by check directly to them, and then no fee is taken out for paypal. It's totally up to you! Thank you in advance for your generosity! Please keep in touch! Here is my email! winslow6_wp@tds.net

Howdy Ellie!
Nope..he speaks NOT a lick of English except Mickey Mouse and he can kinda sorta sing Jingle Bells a tiny bit. That's it! So.....I'm going to do a post about this soon. It's been quite funny! Tonight at dinner, though, Yavor our translator couldn't believe how much English he can already understand just in the last 2 days! It's been very cool! We are having a great time with him!
